Rural Social Scheme News July 2020

We would like to congratulate our recent retirees from the Rural Social Scheme.

Francis and Thomas have been working with us on the scheme since its inception in Louth in August 2005. Their hard work and diligence has greatly benefited and enhanced their local communities in Bush and Carlingford. While we are saddened to see them leave, together with their sponsor groups we wish them happiness in the next chapter of their lives and are sure that retirement will offer them many new opportunities.

Francis as a RSS worker with Louth Leader Partnership was an invaluable member of the development and maintenance of our facilities at Bush, home of Glenmore AC. He was ever ready to make sure our facilities were at their best for training, championships and any event the club took on to do. He will be greatly missed but we wish him well for the next stage of his life. ‘Rose – White Glenmore Running Club’ Since Thomas joined the Rural Social Scheme in 2005 he has had a positive effect at the Foy centre and therefore the whole community. Being a voluntary organisation it is not feasible to employ someone to maintain the centre so having Thomas available on a part-time basis has been a great help. We wish him every success in his retirement.
